Trump's lawyer John Dowd forwarded an email about Robert E Lee written by a conspiracy theorist to more than 2dozen conservative journos.

Mr. Dowd received the email on Tuesday night and forwarded it on Wednesday morning to more than two dozen recipients, including a senior official at the Department of Homeland Security, The Wall Street Journal editorial page and journalists at Fox News and The Washington Times...

“You’re sticking your nose in my personal email?” Mr. Dowd told The Times in a brief telephone interview. “People send me things. I forward them.” He then hung up.

11. I don't condone how Mr. Dowd used history

to sell a point in support of a wrong assumption, but I suggest people look into the history of R.E. Lee as well as Ulysses Grant and you will find some facts that may at least put history into perspective.
I wouldn't dare write anything here on the subject because of the heated subject matter at this moment, but if you really want to know the facts, you had better look them up. Don't pretend to dis alt-facts and not know real facts. Find out for youselves who Lee was and who Grant was and how they connected. Look up Lincoln's relationship to Lee as well. There's more to the story than people want to hear right now. Know what your talking about. It's clear this lawyer only knew the part he wanted to hear. I don't want to do the same.
