Which is better when R campaigns call your phone -- hang up or let them prattle on?

I always used to hang up on them. I've been getting bombarded with calls from all of the local and state R wing nutjobs, Hoekstra for US Senate, Bentevolio to replace Thadeus "Did I Do That?" McCotter, some local winger nutcase named Kesto running for state House.

I think it's actually better to just let these people prattle or let the taped message play -- I have come to the conclusion it is a 2 minute waste of their time and resources that won't be devoted to contacting someone stupid enough to vote for one of them.

...then when they finally ask for cash, ask them to mail more information.

Really, it makes their day.

Then I use the paper to put underneath my pet turtle when it does its daily business.

Think of them like telemarketers and the next best thing for a telemarketer after a yes is a hang up which frees them to move to the next call and puts them closer to a yes.

The more time wasted on a no, the fewer yeses can be pursued. It is complex, it is easy math.

then hang up on me during my response....I made a sign to display on my front door, during the teabag campaigns of 2010,which reads:

Republicans, teabaggers and all other such socio/psychopaths.

This household is not racist, sexist or homophobic. We believe in science, womens choice and equality, paying taxes and social safety nets.We don't watch Fox News or listen to that type of radio.

You have NOTHING for us.WE have nothing for YOU.Kindly take your lunacy elsewhere.

I try to respond to those phone calls with the points from my sign, and invariably get hung up on.....LOL!!
