President Donald Trumps approval rating reached a new low Sunday amid condemnation for his initial reaction to the protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, that resulted in one person dead.
The Republican presidents job approval rating hit 34 percent Sunday compared with a 61 percent disapproval rating that put Trump in an unenviable historical class, according to Gallups most recent numbers

The historical significance, as well as many comparisons between the Trump-Russia and Watergate scandals, has put Trump only 10 points ahead of former President Richard Nixons personal all-time low approval rating. Nixon plummeted to 24 percent approval before he resigned from office in August 1974..

Two days later, headline says, "Nixon Resigns".. Who knows what Trump will do? He lies about everything.

(10,497 posts)He is tired of the criticism and the tough schedule (tough for him as he is running out of places he can go where he won't be laughed at). He won't because he cannot run interference on the investigation that will ultimately bring him down.
It is like criticizing Putin and Russia, he cannot do it because they will release the pee tapes and worse!
