I'm seeing tweets comparing Trump's statement to a hostage video.

Trump could have really completed the look and feel of that speech by holding up a copy of today's newspaper.

He gets that look when he reads something off a teleprompter that he obviously doesn't believe. He also is very careful with his pronunciation and diction when he's doing that.
