Trump has a "tell" when he's lying and we just saw it

as he read the remarks about Charlottesville.

I first noticed this a few months ago, so I started paying closer attention when he's saying something he clearly doesn't want to, but feels pressured to.

The "tell": It's his breathing. He purses his lips and inhales sharply and audibly through his nose.

Watch the remarks again (if you can stomach it). Notice when that breathing oddity occurs. It's when he mentions the KKK and white supremacy.

Each of us on this site knows he didn't want to do what he just did. But the proof -- the physiological proof, proof that's undeniable to anyone who knows anything about the psychology of body language -- is right there for all to see.

He agrees with them. He stands with them.

And considering this came on Day Three after the violence, he has already provided the white supremacist Nazis with his approval. Now they'll just say he had to do this and that he's still with them. And they're right.

He lies so often and so blithely that usually he doesn't know or care about whether or not he'll be found out. When it's something like this, though, a carefully premeditated lie that he thinks he might get in trouble for if he's caught, he acts a bit more like a normal human being, "telling" that he's worried about this one.

If saying 30 million undocumented people voted in the election helped his cause, he says it instantly without blinking.

He is also a psychopath once removed, in that while he personally wont kill you and me, he will gladly faciliate the death of BILLIONS if it results in profit for himself or getting rid of Mueller.

BILLIONS.

So yes, if he facilitates the death of billions he will do it if it benefits him, but he will be totally unaware that he caused those deaths.

He always lies first and then revises, and then reverts to his real views later. So he started condemning left on Saturday, revised to tell the truth today, and I predict will reverse tomorrow.

But I had not been looking at his fat mug to draw this conclusion because of the weak stomach thing.

I don't really know but they did rail against their Jewish neighbors like clockwork working themselves up with lies, then blaming, then attacking in a hate-filled frenzy. Trump studied up on Hitler according to his first wife. And went to the Wharton School where he learned propaganda (marketing). The scapegoating thing is purely part of the pattern as you say. How many times has he branded HRC as "crooked." It is the only word many associate with her. I bet most on DU associate his lies with the word when he uses it on her. His lies and propaganda are the foundation of all else.

It looks like he was well-rehearsed in this speech and managed to control his blinking, but he still blinked more than normal - in particular at the end when he said the constitution guarantees all people are equal under the law.

Clearly he doesn't believe much of what he had to say, but he knew he had to say it to stay in office. Eventually he'll slip up again and the whole charade will repeat, over and over, until he's gone.

Regarding the sniffing, I first thought it was cocaine as well, but given his brother's alcoholism (and subsequent abstinence) and his aversion to anything "counterculture", it doesn't seem likely. More likely is a food allergy. Given his notoriously unhealthy diet, it's likely that after indulging, he experiences swelling and drainage, hence the sniffing and heavy breathing.
