Now it's making sense, Putinists and Trump

Things like getting sanctions lifted, the Magnitsky ban scrapped, etc. were just secondary goals on top of the primary goal... ensuring the election of a destroyer of the US.

We have a man who literally can not understand nuance at all, which means he simply can not perform international politics. Trump has the abilities of nuance and being delicate as a broken window. He is lowering the US's ability to perform and look as a credible leader.

It's also clear that Trump is not the only beneficiary of the Kremlin, but today's right as well. It goes along with this destroyer theory, they are part of it. What other group in our political culture today makes it a point to attack the 'other' American, to divide us and polarize us on purpose, to foster paranoia and hate of any minority or un/underprivileged group they see? Who truly benefits from Balkanization? From turning the 'other' who are also citizens here into enemies?

Who needs enemies when you have Trump and this faction of the right wing?

Now the question is: Is Mueller strong enough and are our other institutions of democracy strong enough t save us?

I've been elated whenever pushback works or one of our institutions steps up to the plate and bats him down (the courts, Congress, or even the people). But -- are they all together strong enough to withstand and triumph?

Any thoughts?
