3. I have some relatives from the deep south and I do not see an heritage.

They started to move to Texas in the early 1800's.

I had relatives fight on both sides of the civil war.

I do not feel an heritage like these right wing fools talk about.

They are just full of hate.

I can say that, because that stock is part of my ancestry.

There was a prayer offered by a Scots-Irish preacher in the South that reflects self-awareness of this trait:

"Lord, keep me always in the right,
for Thou knowest how hard I am to turn".

Assholes and bigots pop up in all ethnic backgrounds, and the entire U.S. is full of mongrels and half breeds who don't even KNOW their own ancestors' nationalities. Please try again. And I am one of the proud half breeds and mongrels who won't listen to these kind of blanket condemnations.

Other people who identify as "white" have their own forms of paranoia-based stubbornness.
