Trump was straight up blaming the anti-Nazi protesters, lumping them in with "many sides" and only remarking on the negative imagery on"display".


This is what the President of the United States said:

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of , on many sides. On many sides. It's been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going on for a long, long time."

Trump did not fault any white supremacists, he have them cover by including the counter protesters who opposed the hatred, bigotry and violence of white supremacists groups like the KKK and the Neo-Nazis.
