Now we've settled the issue of confederate flags and statues once and for all.

They didn't even try the tired bullshit line about it being History and not Hate. It's evident that it is only about hate.

They all need to be removed and renamed so that they are no longer a rallying point for nazis, white supremacists, and other segments of trump's base.

Said history can only be removed if one is illiterate.

They were traitors defending the indefensible! They were responsible for millions of deaths and left so many maimed and permanently scarred. They stand as a reminder to black people that they were once slaves and that our government is honoring them with statues. How sick is that? Why are they still being honored?

I live in Ohio too, I'm pretty sure Ohio didn't fight on the side of Lee. Why did an Ohioan decide to do this?

It's my understanding that he only recently moved to Ohio from the northern Kentucky area.

The fault line between industrial, more diverse, more tolerant America and rural, underemployed, government-mistrusting America zigzags kind of along I-70. Ahiah is culturally Southern, in some ways like a "North West Virginia". They lost jobs in coal, tobacco, and factory work in towns along the Ohio river, don't trust government to help (because they don't feel it has), and for reasons known well to despotic weasels think that if civilization collapses they are somehow magically gifted to build it again the white, I mean right, way.

Point of common ground for what it's worth: Ahiah also grows some of the best marijuana east of the Rockies so I've been told. Legalize it, you give farming a boost, and you start to bring back some of those small towns, and cut a chunk out of hateful racism.

Once a Confederate statue is designated for removal, maybe we can help.
