I denounce a so-called pResident who cannot nay, will not denounce racists, white supremacists, and nazis, and call them out for who they are and what they represent.I denounce any man who sees any equivalence between those promoting hatred and violence and those who are willing to stand against them, their ideology, and their tactics.
I denounce ANY American regardless of their political affiliation or their political position who is too spineless to speak out clearly and decisively against those who would divide us as a nation, those who would cast our fellow citizens as unworthy of inclusion as Americans based on their race, religion, or ethnicity.
I denounce a so-called pResident who sees todays events as being the result of ill feeling on many sides, when it is only one side that is promoting violence, and advancing the idea that racism is not only acceptable, but something to be embraced.
I denounce a so-called pResident who dismisses todays events as being something thats been going on for a long, long time, as though racism is something we should just learn to live with, rather than unite to eradicate.
I denounce Donald Trump as being a champion of violence, a champion of bigotry, a champion of encouraging division among us.
In addition, I denounce the Republican Party that saw Trump repeatedly incite violence and divisiveness throughout his campaign, and supported him and elected him nonetheless. They knew who he was from the beginning, and their comments today, which amount to Oh, my, we never saw THIS coming, are an insult to every citizen who saw todays occurrence as an inevitable outcome of putting a self-proclaimed bigot in the Oval Office.
Trump has never been, and never will be, my president. And I denounce any and all attempts to portray him as other than what he is: an ignorant, lying bigot desperately clinging to his base of knuckle-dragging racists, who have not only been encouraged by his remarks, but ultimately emboldened by them.
I denounce Donald Trump, his racist supporters, and the party that enabled him. There is no place in our country for any of them.

(10,419 posts)We all know 45 is like one of those Star Trek TOS entities that would invade the Enterprise and feed on the hate and discourse it generated.
45 is out for 45. Not Barron, the Udays, Melania, Tiffany-Who? or even Ivanka. It's all about the glorification of everything Donald. I've never seen anything like it in my life, since I wasn't around in the 17th century.
The most fitting punishment for this disgusting traitor would be for him to be frog-marched out of the people's house and incarcerated someplace where his ice cream would be limited to one scoop per month. And it would be Walmart brand.

(10,419 posts)since the old 60 Minutes interviews, where he came across as a young bombastic predator. But we never thought there would be enough knuckle-draggers to allow this waste of air to get within shouting distance of the White House.
Did you see Rachel Maddow's piece Friday on Trump and the Commodore Hotel? Trump was insufferable 30 years ago, but he was Prince Charming compared to the insidious demon he is today.
Make it stop!!!

(11,686 posts)was scary. Now he is freely puking his poison and it is frightening. Those knuckle-draggers came out of the woodwork when he announced his run for the presidency.
Rachel Maddow's piece was very enlightening. I personally do not see a difference between him then and now. He has always been an evil piece of crap.

(10,109 posts)I'm afraid this will spread. I like the idea of their pictures getting spread all over the place and them being identified. On a side note I saw a picture of the now Senate Majority Leader getting a plaque from some group with a traitor flag in the background on my Twitter feed, it looked about ten years old, I vaguely remember it, but can't recall the name of the group. I also saw repost of the selfie with the Speaker of the House with all of the Republican interns in the background, all white? It's frightened for years just how white that party is.
On a more positive note, Mitt posted a strong comment.
Peace
