when I saw those Nazi flags today all I could think of was my late Father-In-Law

who spent 3 years fighting Nazis in WWII. Landed at Omaha Beach and eventually made it to Germany and eventually came back.

I kept wondering were he alive today how crushed he would be to see our billionaire fucking president throwing cover for the Nazis that helped make him president.

Were he not already dead it may have killed him.

ETA - just had to get that out.

And that's what happens. Thank God there are people brave enough to do it in this country.

HMS Virago a cruiser which was one of the British ships that hunted the Bismark, he was on 17 at that time.
He hated Nazis. In fact I recall watching Raiders of the Lost Ark with him at the movie theater and when Indy said "Nazis I hate those guys" he piped up "your dam right!! " (Quite loudly) Which got a laugh from others there.

My dear fil fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was born in Germany in 1925 and came to America around 1928. His dad fought in WW1 in the German army and got the family the heck out of Europe. Because of his place of birth, the U.S. Army gave my fil the choice of serving in Europe or the Pacific theater. He chose to fight in Europe. He was 19 and he came home, thank goodness.

Sleep a Nazi flag, a Nazi arm band, and an SS arm band that were "liberated" by my late father. His only commentary on the circumstances were "I wanted them more than they did". No Nazis then, no Nazis now, no Nazis forever.

There would be a scatological tsunami. I remember my Grandfather who fought the Germans in WW I became apolectic because I wore a "surfer cross" (Iron Cross).

He spent part of his service in the occupation of Germany, as well.

I wish I could know his thoughts now. I believe he would be profoundly shocked. He followed politics closely, and would be disgusted by Chump, I am very, very certain.
