Hearing them say that and watching his face on TV came across much, much worse than it sounds here.

Made a point of saying it's been going on for a long time and it's not about Trump or not about Obama.
And the last time I looked, we didn't have nazi violence resulting in death on the streets as the result of Obama's presidency.
When he did the "many sides" thing he was doing the standard Trump "hard sell" with fictitious facts, but there was no energy in it at all, he was phoning it in. He wanted to take a victory lap over Veterans, and he had to talk about his supporters getting violent without naming them as his sipporters.
