Out of curiosity, I took a look at what Faux News was feeding to their hungry conservative viewers. They certainly have a unique perspective. The live commentary from the reporters on the scene, as well as the blond chairholder on the broadcast news set, did not match what my poor old lyin' eyes were telling me. The armed men brandishing weapons and clubs were not acting like the marchers singing gospel songs and carrying peace signs.
The Fox reporter was explaining that the Nazi white supremacists are mostly local folks, and therefore the community accepts them and they had a legal permit to be in park so it was OK for them to defend their turf by any means they could. The police hadn't got involved at that point so evidently they were in agreement with this particular view.
The counter protesters, according the Fox guy, were bussed in troublemakers, anarchists and terrorists. Yeah, all of 'em, probably foreigners too, leftists no doubt from Los Angeles and New York. They were paid. They started the violence.
That is all. I couldn't take it anymore.
