I think that they all know what kind of a liar Romney is, and I don't think you will see many of them, at least not those who want to stay in office, trying to defend this moron. I think they are all sitting back and will let Romney sing in the wind on this one.

I just wonder what is going to happen at the convention? I mean will the just let Romney have the nomination, or will some of the other "clowns" that lost put up a fight and try and take it way from him? Can they afford a brokered convention with all the fighting that would bring?

I think things are just getting interesting, and this is just the beginning. I am sure that the Obama team has a lot more dirt on Romney and will start bring it out bit by bit and then dump the really bad stuff on him right before the elections. I can hardly wait!

They are throwing him under the bus. There is too much money at stake here. They have time for someone else. No one was thrilled with him, but a handful of rich people. The tea party, the religious right and any other weird group they've brought into their tent doesn't like him. This is what they get for pandering to the wackos of our society.

House and Senate seats to control the congress and try to shut Obama down by blocking anything he tries to accomplish. Lord, help us all if they keep the House and gain the Senate.

Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, we just see the illusion they present to us. They are trully dealing with the reality, and they are scared and backed in a corner, so who knows what they will do. It almost makes me happy to see all these millionaires throwing their money at this guy

Romney is being used as a distraction.

The aim of Republicans is to destroy the Democratic Party, whose base is the middle class, by destroying the middle class.

This is why the right wing is attacking unions, educators, outsourcing jobs, and short-changing small businesses that provide many middle class American jobs. These efforts are designed to destroy the Democratic base.

The Democratic Party is in a war for its existence and they better start putting up a better offense against the right wing across ALL political races or it is game over for democracy in this country.

The Democrats better stop using up all their ammunition against Romney (who is going to lose by self destruction, anyway), and start targeting right wingers in Congressional races and state government races.

A bigger worry is the disenfranchisement of people who traditionally vote for Democrats, and the discrepancies in counting the votes, as well as the widespread breakdowns in voting machines.

Otherwise we will wind up in the same stalemate situation of the last 3 and one-half years.

He is unfortunately (for him) peaking too soon. They will pull in a ringer, Jeb Bush, perhaps at the last minute who will fill the anyone other than...need. Americans have 30 minute attention spans after all and they don't want this to be a fair and open election.
