He is not going to release his tax returns.

I think that making that point to the bedwetting GOP establishment was one of the main goals of Mitt's quinella today. He wants the hand-wringers who are talking to the press to shut up. That may be the only thing he accomplishes with his appearances because the inconsistencies are going to continue to surface. As David Corn said tonight, people are throwing stuff to him over the transom.

said that there is an almost endless supply of information to wade through. He implied that he had just barely scratched the surface in investigating Romney. That cannot be good.

I look for more reporting from Corn.

McCain and his team hated Romney. They're the ones who have had access to Mitt's tax returns. I believe the hits will keep on coming and I suspect that some of them will originate from the documents that were sent to Arizona.

Either he does and proves he's a liar and a felon, or he doesn't and makes it clear to everyone that he has something to hide.

David Corn said today on MSNBC that he released no tax returns when he ran for governor and he thought he could get away with it again. Also, a lot of politicians with shaky tax returns no not to run for higher office when there is a skeleton in their closet. Mitt doesn't know this, his family doesn't know this, and the reason is because they live in an insular bubble of privilege.

It plays right into the line of thinking that he has something to hide and was either skimming on his taxes, or sheltered where he didn't even pay any.

The longer and louder he doubles down on this, the bigger the hole he digs because people aren't going to let up on it. (And as mentioned, there are 23 years worth being scanned and emailed as we speak)

I applaud this move, Mr Romney. You entitled ass.

I was listening to the news with one ear, but didn't I hear Mitt say, "I don't recall...."?

Didn't he have dinner with Cheney, last night? There seems to be something tugging at me in the back of my head that Cheney...actually, several of the Bush folks...used that as their defense in a lot of areas. Suppose Cheney said, "Oh, hell! Just tell them you don't recall. Let them prove it!"

Works for me.

Weren't Romney's eyes awfully red? They look like he'd been crying...or just blew his stack and the blood hadn't settled back yet?

Surely in those halcyion days at Bain, Mittens loved being the corporate "captain"...who wielded massive financial power and enriched himself in the process. He created a corporation based solely on vulture capitalism...making money in every way from a business and then gutting the assets for its own financial gain. The sorrid history of this company has never really been brought to light and Mittens has never been held accountable for his role and attitude for the 25 years he claims he operated the company (I suspect checks continue to be mailed to Bermuda).

As a spoiled frat boy, Mittens never cared who he crapped on as he always got what he wanted. He figured his wealth and power will cower any opponent and keep their silence. Methinks Team Obama has gotten some help from those inside the rushpublican party who want to see Mittens fail and somewhere out there is a big, big dime to be dropped. In the meantime Willard will continue to dance on the head of a pin about his past and the longer he stonewalls and parses the worse it will get for him...and if that dime is dropped it will crush him...
