I know this will fail, but Vote Democratic

I don't know what else to do but to keep advocating this.

Stop making things more complicated than they are. We have a real enemy. I am not totally sure how to define our enemy, but good grief. We have a hard core cult firmly behind #fakepresident. We can start with that cult. What is it, like 33%? Is there anything positive to say about this cult and these cultists? Can we, whomever "we" are, agree that this cult must be defeated?

It is that bad. If we cannot rally around the defeat of this evil cult then what can we rally around? And why make it more complicated than that? And who is it, exactly that's making it more complicated than that and why are they making it more complicated than that?

One thing that inspired me is Jeff Flake. I don't know much about him but I have heard some of his recent rhetoric. He says that the Republican Party has to stop lying. I wrote about my recent encounter with my neighbor who walked away from me, pissed off, because I wouldn't accept his wholly unsupported irrational loathing of Hillary Clinton. My position was simply that the lying has to stop. I cited Jeff Flake to this guy, who aggressively refused to allow me to make my case.

The lying has to stop. There can be no rapprochement with lying. There can be no rapprochement with this 33% who are so cult-like, and we cannot be distracted by the likes of my neighbor, who claims to not be of the cult but yet who harbors irrational loathing of Democrats. I would throw Hillary Clinton under the bus for our cause if it would shut these people up, but you know that going along with lies about Hillary Clinton will only enable them to lie about everyone else.

Seriously, what more could anyone ask of a human being than that which is Barack Obama? The man is brilliant. You do not get to be editor of the Harvard Law Review unless you are brilliant. The man could have been anything, and chose to be what? A community organizer. A public servant. And he was smeared for that.

This 33% has nothing more than their hatred for us. And who is "us?" That's a revolving list depending on the moment. But it's always me. I know that and so I know too that trying to talk to this 33% or to reason with them in any way is useless and just ends up as appeasement.

Part of what this 33% will do is to try to disrupt us and divert us from the message I am trying to express. The don't want us to Vote Democratic. They want us to bicker. They want us to be unfocused and unresolved. They want to sow discord and discontent. But they 33% and they cannot succeed without accomplices who are not of the 33%.

I leave this rant with a link to a recent Sarah Silverman tweet, about Bernie Sanders. It's Sanders telling us how evil Republicans are, and how and why Republicans are lying to us.

... I really like that she doesn't suffer fools lightly. She'll tell ya what she's thinking... blunt, direct, truthful.

Here's a photo from one of the more memorable moments! She and Senator Al Franken (D, Wisconsin) made me cheer out loud when I was watching them.

I tried to make the point that we can come together to defeat this insidious enemy.

The "coming together" part, I mean. This divide is forever. (#Sad)

Defeating the insidious enemy will happen, however. Trump will fall, but it will just take longer and will require more work.

... and understand how to combat the GOP, we will lose.

A lot of Republicans didn't like Trump. They still pulled the lever for him. Now we have Justice Gorsuch.

The latest lie is that Sessions offered Hillary Clinton a plea deal.

After I debunked this friend he posted the same garbage from a different far right conspiracy source.

That's pure hate. That's pure evil.

there seems to be nothing we can do to dissuade those who believe it. They are inoculated against the truth and in an information silo that ensures they will continue to be inoculated.

Obviously the 33% who are cultists are a write off.

We can reach most of the 77%. We have done it before.

(other than Donald(R)'s mouth and that nuclear thing) is the spreading of this disease of being willing to spread lies and accept lies, and to believe things that are completely discredited by easily found facts.
