Common wisdom is that this was about some financial based criminal wrongdoing. I actually think the financial aspects are simply the route to get at much more serious criminal activity. Like direct contact/collusion with Russians. Like running his asset, Two Scoops. Like perhaps being an actual Russian agent.

Also seems to me that Flynn rolled on Manaforte. Flynn was a flunky. Manaforte was a much bigger kahuna.
