totally his, not his campaign's. He has a personal exposure. If he lied to the SEC or to any regulators, he has a problem...personally. He is going to have to be very, very careful when he interviews with the 3 networks. I think he is taking a great risk doing these interviews...smarter people than him have screwed up on these things. Any lawyer worth his/her salt would counsel him not to do this. We'll see what happens but I see nothing but more trouble for him. I am absolutely certain that he has been advised by private counsel not to do this.

Aside from which, he can't be criminally charged, even if there were cause to do so (which is by no means clear at this point). The moment anything like that happened, articles of impeachment for alleged "abuse of power" would go through the House like crap through a goose, and bog down the administration into a circus sideshow.
What was said was "either he lied to the SEC or he lied to the American people". Lying to the American people is, of course, not a crime.
What he's going to say is that he retained those titles during the transitional period of winding down his active engagement in Bain, and that he may have been in some pro forma board meetings, but was not involved in the day-to-day operations. That may pan out to be technically correct.
The real problem that remains is a guy who was "president" of something, but denies having been responsible for anything. The irony, of course, is that he is running for.... president of something.

He has to. Just like the McCain people had to continue to push Sarah Palin even after they realized she was a disaster.
