Matthew Whitaker of CNN - "Mueller's investigation of Trump is going too far"

"This information is deeply concerning to me. It does not take a lawyer or even a former federal prosecutor like myself to conclude that investigating Donald Trump's finances or his family's finances falls completely outside of the realm of his 2016 campaign and allegations that the campaign coordinated with the Russian government or anyone else. That goes beyond the scope of the appointment of the special counsel."

that he had nothing to do with other than buying a few acres.

It least in Trump's case a line can be drawn between Russian loan money and Russian interference in our election to help him win.

And when did he become a right wing shill. It seems to me that if the special prosecutor sees evidence of a crime, he has a responsibility to investigate it regardless of whether it is connected to his original mandate.

https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2016/04/new-nonprofit-tied-to-stealthy-circle-of-dark-money-groups/

FACT is a much newer creation, organized in 2014 as a conservative counterweight to watchdog groups viewed as more left-of-center, such as Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. The newer outfit took its first public action about a year ago when it filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Democratic voter data firm Catalist.

Since then, FACT has, on rare occasions (possibly just once), gone after a Republican, but most frequently accuses Democrats — particularly frontrunner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — of ethical or legal violations.

Its funding — $600,000 in 2014, according to the only tax return it has filed to date — comes entirely from a conservative donor-advised fund called DonorsTrust, which means it could come from anywhere. DonorsTrust is a pass-through vessel that manages the charitable contributions of wealthy individuals and foundations to organizations that are “dedicated to the ideals of limited government, personal responsibility, and free enterprise,” according to its website, while allowing the donors to remain anonymous. Charles Koch is among the many conservatives who have filtered money through DonorsTrust.

In other words, an organization “dedicated to promoting accountability, ethics, and transparency” gets 100 percent of its funds from a group that exists mainly as a vehicle for donors to elude transparency.

They've taken the full brunt of Trump and the alt-right attacking them as fake news and the label has stuck with a lot of Trumpanzee zombies. Why do they continue to employ Trump stooges on their "panels"? No one who likes their being there is watching your network and they annoy the fuck out of everyone else.

If Trump is deeply in debt to Russia, it provides a motive and quid pro quo for him getting help to win and in turn helping Russia.

We absolutely need to know Trump's financial debts and who he's laundering money too. These Republicans need to shut the heck up.

If Clinton were being investigated, they'd sure as heck support investigating every little minute detail of her life.

Russia didn't just happen to muck with the election. They didn't just happen to pick Don as their favorite. Someone's been bankrolling the Trump organization and it hasn't been American banks. A first grader could figure out the connection between Russia and Trump's finances.
