Somebody on one of the morning yakker shows said we need to get rid of the DCCC, RCCC . . . .

. . . . . DSCC, and RSCC.

I'm not sure that's a good idea, but it has some merit.

Those four organizations, so goes the theory, have but one goal - beat the other guys. That leads to the divisiveness that now permeates all of American society. To be sure, they're not the sole reason for it, but they sure are a big part of it. Add in Fox and you have probably 80% of the reason we, literally, hate each other. As was pointed out in the piece, we have so socially self-segregated ourselves that we don't even favor the same sports!

What do others think about this notion?

Politics is partisan. Political parties are supposed to be partisan. The problem is not "the partisan divide".
