Salvadoran women can be jailed up to 50 years for a miscarriage.

Abortion is banned absolutely....no exceptions for rape, incest, or medical danger to the mother's health or life. Think it couldn't happen here if some get their way?

Seguimos Unidos #ConEllas

El Salvador has the most extreme anti-abortion law in the world, putting women in danger and the country at odds with the global trend of expanding access to reproductive health care.

#ConEllas is an awareness campaign that seeks to shed light on the harmful and long-lasting effects that the complete criminalization of abortion has upon Salvadoran women. The campaign stems from Seguimos Unidos, an independent, Salvadoran citizen-led initiative committed to promoting family unity as well as the health of women and girls in El Salvador.

El Salvador is one of the few countries in the world where abortion is banned under all circumstances – including when a pregnancy poses a clinically verifiable risk to a woman’s health, her life, or in cases of rape.

We must act fast. Let’s make sure the people of El Salvador know that the lives of Salvadoran women and girls can’t wait.
