For those who think this Bain stuff isn't hurting the Romney campaign...

Romney To Sit For Network Interviews Today

Source: Buzzfeed

The source said Romney will sit down with ABC, NBC, and CBS, and will air on the nightly news broadcasts.

The interviews come on the heels of a grueling week of campaign press for him — dominated by a Boston Globe story yesterday that re-awakened concerns over Romney's record at Bain Capital.

But he's doing it this way, instead. So clueless...

I predict he will make things worse, provided the interviewers ask him real questions. Actually, even if they don't, he may make things worse.

He'll have to answer questions, rather than just talking to a passive audience. Of course, that assumes he'll actually be asked real questions. I'm hoping he is.

Scalia & Thomas's favorite reporter) and Jon Karl (ABC).

I take it Romney got to pick his questioners. Alexander isn't even a political or policy reporter. Hard to ask follow ups if you don't know the details enough to ID BS.

i.e.

Q: Mr. Romney, how do you explain the discrepancy between . . .

Romney: Well, uh, he promised to make things better but he's only made them worse.

Q: Um, again, how do you explain the discrepancy between 1999 and 2002?

Romney: I believe in America. Would you like me to sing for you?

Q: Did you lie to the SEC about your tenure at Bain?

Romney: My sons' work on my campaign is the same as military service.

etc., etc, etc. . . .

It will be up to the campaign and all of us to get the message out. I hope I'm wrong on this. But having seen so many times scandals that should sunk a presidency or doom a candidate get buried - that is what I have come to expect. But hopefully, I am wrong.
