I've been a lifelong Democrat. But I can't support a party that is willing to throw women's rights under the bus.
Where do you draw the line? Do we openly accept racists into the party next?
Seriously. How would we sell that? It's ok for a candidate to feel whites are superior and that certainly couldn't taint their voting or legislation and they are still the best option for black people?

(5,043 posts)This is the same fucking argument that has been used to bully the left into line; now you are using it against women? The Democratic Party is going to bully itself into failure after failure after failure continuing to use this failed strategy.
There is not a damned thing wrong with holding a "major party" accountable for walk and talk when it comes to issues. To answer your question: There are more independent voters than Democratic OR Republican voters. Neither "major party" can afford to ignore them.
