It isn't just that he's extremely wealthy. It's that he's extremely wealthy AND mormon royalty.

Anyone who denies his religion has made him the out-of-touch asswipe that he is, just hasn't dealt extensively with Utah marmints.

It is a certain something I have only seen in some Mormons. I think so many people have not dealt with Utah Mormons, really, they keep to themselves.

I liked so many of the Mormons I worked with in Utah, some especially, but the bad ones, they ruin it for everyone and they are usually the ones in power.

Especially the ones with money and a church pedigree that goes back to "the Pioneers". An overdeveloped sense of entitlement, that group.

Some people will argue that we don't, but that is probably because they have been taught react to any slight.

I don't want Romney's Mormonism to be off limits, I believe that Mormonism uses the cloak of religion and some very good people, to shield unpalatable ideology and practice.

Harry Mason Reid's claim that Mitt hasn't paid taxes for 12 years may be because of what he knows about some Mormons. I can't prove it and it seems that much has been purged from the Internet, but the Montana Freemen were an off-shoot of Mormonism.

Of course, Harry may just be pulling a Judge Judy on Mitt, by claiming the worst when a defendant "can't remember" important information. I almost think this is more likely, but still believe Mitt cheats on his taxes.

I debated discussing this further, but decided to give it a go as you started it.

Anyway, here is an article that was in the BBC News Magazine this morning, it is about Mitt's family in England and early Mormonism there. It is romanticized, but you still might find it interesting. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18422949

It's well-known that Republican contender for the US presidency Mitt Romney is a Mormon - but not that his family was converted in England. He doesn't mention it on the campaign trail, but his great-great-grandfather, a Preston carpenter, became one of the first British Mormons, 175 years ago.

Even though he is following the law, he is not following the precedent set before him, to release eight or more years of tax returns. EVERYBODY, thinks he is hiding something.

This is the biggest job in the country. People will take your underpants if they have to--Mitt can't really be surprised people want to see his tax returns.
