1. I always found that scene amazing since somehow the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean.

I guess being lost in space for a very long time makes subtle changes like the direction in which the earth rotates.

The apes moved the statue from NY to LA. They wanted to be closer to their ancestral home (Caesar was from San Francisco, remember), but they wanted a souvenir from their sojourn in NY. EVERYBODY knows the Statue of Liberty is THE souvenir you bring home from your visit to NY.

from seeing the film and by the time they got here it was at the end of a long day. It always bugged me.

The sun seams to set in the east at the end of the Green Berets. Charlton Heston and John Wayne were conservatives. Hmmmm.....

The ape families in the wild seem to have a better handle on positive communal behavior, than the Satanic spawn that is the current administration.
