Mar a Lago Translation: Sea Lake

I Googled "Mar a Lago translation" and that's what came up. The definition actually refers to the specific resort in Florida that was built in 1924 by cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post and Trump now owns.

Its really strange isn't it? Sea Lake? It does seem fitting because Trump is all about the way things appear rather than what they actually are. So Mar a Lago is a exotic sounding name.

At least with FDR originally naming Camp David Shangri-La, he chose a word that means "imaginary paradise, utopia on Earth, idyllic place; remote peaceful and pastoral hideaway." Shangri-La is from the book Lost Horizon.

As it has the Atlantic Ocean (i.e. the sea) on one side, and the Lake Worth Lagoon/Intercoastal Waterway (i.e. the lake) on the other side.

Like the estate that Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford built was called Pickfair. These compounds are, after all, usually built by people with concomitantly-sized egos.
