I absolutely believe his supporters are so angry they will form ad hoc armed militias in an attempt to save him at best or simply assert themselves at least. I believe they will be stuck down in very short order by those sworn to do so - the civilian constabulary and the state-controlled military, aka the National Guard.

It may well be that this country needs such a convulsive event to set it back on a course toward civil society.
