Have all y'all never noticed that? Last year, she took the time after the conventions.

It's not like she gets a lot of time off, so let's not begrudge what little she does get.

And Joy's been opening with "Rachel's on vacation this week" all week so far.

18. Rachel does that for a reason

Those of us who watch Rachel every night, maybe we get a little impatient (sometimes) because we've been following her stories all along.

But Rachel knows that not all of her viewers are there every night, some just tune in once in a while, and others are there for the first time. Some viewers might even be of the "Tea Party" persuasion who are going to oppose everything she says.

So she explains things in detail to get occasional viewers caught up. She ties up loose ends whenever she can, or she explains what we know and don't know in detail. Yes it's repetitive but I appreciate that because she's very thorough. I guess I'm used to it now, but it was slightly annoying when I first started watching her.

My issue with Rachel is that she talks so fast that I can't follow her unless I have the captions (subtitles) on. Rachel's doing a great job but I wish she would talk a little slower for us older folks.
