Focus where you can have an impact. Local issues. Non-profits. Legal aid. Seek out like minded people.

Kennedy/Johnson was followed by Nixon/Ford. That's the nature of our bizarre republic.

So from 61-69 we had JFK and LBJ. From 69-77 we had Dick and Gerry. Gerry, of course, was never elected.

"terms."

E.g., I highly doubt that anyone---historians, biographers, the men themselves---viewed Johnson's Presidency as part of JFK's (yeah, yeah, Civil Rights, 1964).

So I look at FDR/Truman as one 20 year stretch. Similarly, I see Bush 1 as -- essentially -- an extension of Reagan.

Johnson is really odd, historically. His pairing with Kennedy was about as much of an odd couple as Andrew Johnson's pairing with Lincoln. LBJ essentially leverages the death of JFK to get the social safety net we know today through Congress, and (albeit reluctantly) gets the Civil Rights act passed. On the other hand, he was a hawk -- Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, etc.

BUT, Trump can be (and will in my opinion) be totally professionally and financially destroyed. That helps me sleep at night.

giant smorgasbord of incompetence and archaic beliefs. Their entire agenda revolves around stealing from the poor and giving to the rich.

Hopefully we can keep anyone who's in line for the position wrapped up in law suits and general mayhem until we can vote them all out. Due diligence is the key phrase for the next 3 1/2 years.

9. Pence is almost as incompetent as Trump, and without the media skills.

Pence would be a step up from Trump, IMO.

Also, Pence is implicated in the Russia scandal too. If Trump goes, Pence probably does too. But Pence will certainly be in an extremely weak position, if he does take over.

I'd much prefer Pence to Trump.
