Nobody, not even Jeb Bush, can put together the sort of machine required for a national election in just over three months.

Maybe this will prevent those who have picture ID's in PA from voting for Romney and instead, throw their votes at Obama. *cross fingers*

If they can disenfranchise and get away with it - my party leadership can tell the truth . . . and get away with it.

...(and I think he does), Holder should let the Voter ID crap alone. Republicans will become disenfranchised because of it and then there will be such a stink that most of the laws will HAVE to be reversed.

Let Republicans turn against Republicans who took away their votes.

Bush started illegal wars under false pretenses, tortured people, imprisoned them indifferently without trial, etc...

Bush won.

Pappa Bush, Iran contra.

Compare that to a SEC charge. Romney will lose because he is a terrible, terrible candidate. Here's hoping he ends up a terrible, terrible candidate with a Felony conviction. Why is it only Martha Stewart goes to jail?

Romney will be the candidate and most Republicans will put their fingers in their ears, sing la-la-la I can't hear you, and go to the polls and vote for Romney.

TV and radio ads work. The Republicans can lie as outrageously as they want and 50% of the country will still believe them and will vote accordingly. We have an election system that is not at all rational.

My hope is that Obama's ads will be just as influential. Unfortunately, he's going to have to take wads of cash from corporations and Wall Street in order to make those ads. That's why we're in the mess we're in. The Democrats aren't that much less beholden to the corporate interests than the Republicans. However, the Democrats are somewhat better all the way around, which is why they have my vote.

Another Bain Democrat who did not want to be identified by name said Romney had no role after taking the Olympics post.

"Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. He was just gone. And it happened very suddenly. ... After that, he was not on calls or writing memos. He was gone."

To be clear, all four of the sources voiced professional loyalty and personal respect for Romney. And all four have a vested interest in defending the work of Bain. But they were consistent in describing Romney's departure as abrupt and in saying they could not recall him around the office in the months that followed.

Two highly reputable arbiters of political debate -- The Washington Post's fact-checking arm and FactCheck.org -- also on Thursday stood by their earlier findings that Romney stepped away from any active role at Bain when he accepted the Olympics post. And Fortune reported that it obtained private Bain documents that support the Romney account.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/12/politics/john-king-bain/index.html?hpt=hp_c1

I'm sure these four unbiased Bain sources all have 100% knowledge of the inner workings of Bain and were in on every secret meeting, so we have to take their word that he wasn't still part of business decisions that the higher-ups would have wanted to keep hidden and untraceable. And in this age of the Pony Express and telegraph machines, there's obviously no way that somebody could stay involved with a business without being around the office. Nothing to see here, folks.
