CNN.com? nothing. ABCNEWS.com? zilch. NYT, WP? nada.

If this story has legs, then they are shorter than a centipede's if you're using online news sites as a gauge. If Baingate is discussed at all, it's as minimized and marginalized as possible.

...don't LET it.

If they keep hammering it (and they should) then the M$M will eventually HAVE to acknowledge it.

They are focused on his role as chief job-destroyer during his "official" reign at the top. And a number are for non-MSM sites such as Salon or HuffPo.

So it won't be long before the networks have it since, you know, they rely on AP to do their work for them.

A few reasons:

1. The Obama campaign, if they're smart, won't let it. They'll be all over the airwaves talking about this if they want this to stick around, which they obviously do.

2. The news outlets that are covering this aren't backing down. The Boston Globe will stay on this. Many websites are covering this. Most importantly, in my opinion, the Associated Press is on the story. That means you can start to expect more stories about this showing up in papers and websites nationwide. The AP rarely backs down.

3. A lot of journalistic organizations wait to see what happens before they begin to cover a story like this. If its proven they're wrong, their reputation is gone. That's why most news organizations ignored watergate at first. As the story picks up steam, more will cover it.
