Was he collecting a private equity salary while running for public office?
Good questions Richard Wolfe. Joe Scum and Steel are very worried.
What was going on? Why is he listed in all these companies? If there are filings where he is CEO after 1999 Rmoney is in deep shit. He cannot be trusted.
Butter anyone? Damn I'm lovin'it.

(30,885 posts)...he just made a pretty interesting statement on "Morning Joe," which was
"You have a rich guy here, but there is a rich guy like Michael Bloomberg, who has 20, 100 times the wealth of Romney but is a man of the people, then you have a rich guy like Romney with his car elevators, who is playing outside the lines, and he can't be trusted."
This will be fascinating to watch, because no one is really stepping into the breach to defend Romney. His campaign is trying to paint this as "out of bounds" while demanding apologies that they aren't getting. If NONE of these things were happening, people STILL don't like Richie Rich.
100% of Romney's "juice" is coming from the "Anyone but Obama" contingent, and even that is wearing thin. When the Obama campaign yells "FIRE IN THE HOLE" and drops an accusation and Romney stamps his little feet as a document is being released to the media that backs up the Obama campaign's accusations, that can never be good for Romney.
This, coupled with the secrecy of his overseas money and his steadfast refusal to put the public's mind at ease, will take its toll.
But what I am really waiting for is Obama to show the same kind of fire Biden had at the NAACP yesterday. So far, Obama has been direct, but he has been playing it cool. He needs to light it up, and soon.

Gregory is a pathetic hack.

(21,078 posts)replacement. At least that's the rumor. Of course the downside, knowing NBC, Li'l Luke would get an audition or Joey the Scar. Either way, after the election I'm not sure we will be seeing much of Gregory. People on both sides agree on his "hackiness."...LOL..

(42 posts)Could Mitt still indirectly own Bain through signing stuff over to his wife and making up some new LLC's linked to an offshore shell company as the owner. I don't know how that would work but I know its easy to set up an LLC with little documentation. I could be completely out of line. But its the first thing I thought of when I look at what info has been provided.

(793 posts)He ain't even close to getting most folks to believe him. that is what makes him a bully. the problem is that he don't do either well. Tie that in with the whole attack/whine routine of the GOP, and he seems to think that this go-around will be his last, thank God.
I worked for 5yrs in two Federal Prisons as a grounds Foreman. I saw grandiose levels of lairs from the inmates there and more from some members of staff.
Mitt would probably be someone's girlfriend if locked up!

(4,253 posts)This is better than any soap tv show. Drama, Comedy, Thriller, cliff hangers, surprises. I tell my friends this is why I love American politics. I love being on DU and getting all the news links....You guys make me laugh, cry and want me to not give up.
I still have optimism that truth and justice will win. We shall see. Knowing that DU is an anchor in a storm.
as we say in Canada:
We are all in this boat together.
