Donald Trumps alleged role in personally drafting a misleading statement about his sons meeting with a Russian lawyer is obstruction of justice, a former White House ethics lawyer has said.
Youre boxing in a witness into a false story, Richard Painter, chief White House ethics lawyer for George W Bush, told the Guardian. That puts them under enormous pressure to turn around and lie under oath to be consistent with their story.

Asha Rangappa, an associate dean at Yale law school, said the report that Trump was behind the misleading statement on his sons meeting suggested a personal investment in wanting to cover up something that may tie his campaign to the Russians.
Intent would be the hardest thing to prove in terms of obstruction, because you need to show that the person acted corruptly. Thats the legal standard, Rangappa said.

Americans who support Putin and trump go on with their lies and crimes, Mueller gets more and more.
Problem is there is enough to bury all of them, so Mueller is in grave danger.

(51,627 posts)3. Who wants to weigh in on the final outcome...
does he finally leave office by:
1. Poor health or drops dead
2. Mueller isn't fired and gets enough info for impeachment and Congress impeaches him due to public
pressure
3. He becomes even more crazy and congress or his cabinet finally uses the 25 Amend.
4. He's killed by Putin (or anyone)
Is there another possibility? Please don't say he stays in office until 2020 and is re-elected.
