Cognitive Dissonance on Parade at Facebook.

An individual on my Facebook feed chose to share some photos from another Facebook page.

The photos themselves were originally taken by a group called the "Veterans Vision Project" and in and of themselves were rather powerful, showing various veterans suffering from PTSD contemplating suicide and self-harm. A few of them showed the veterans actually holding guns to their own heads.

However, the Facebook page sharing the photos--which in turn was shared by the person on my own feed--was not the Veterans Vision Project itself, but a far different group.

And what was the name of the Facebook group that was sharing the photos?

"Gun Porn and General Awesomeness."

1. It's worse than that

Through f book I found that a lot of the people I've known all my life voted for shitler and some to this day still worship him, I never knew they were such haters of others until last year.

We just never talked about politics over the years, I don't know why but it just never came up, it sure has changed our relationships.

I unfriended everyone not blood related and gave an explanation well ahead of time, I take care of my 81 yo mother, as she ages the only ones that need to see how she's doing are family and her freinds, no one else needs to know anything.

F book started out well for me but after the constant disinformation of the run up to the election it went downhill fast, the only reason why I'm staying is for my family as it's the easiest and fastest way to keep in touch with them.

Otherwise fuck f book, just my two cents.
