Richard Painter on The 11th Hour: "It's time for tRump to resign."

"If this story turns out to be true, that tRump produced this lie to cover up in a criminal prosecution, then that's it. He needs to resign."

Lots of great insight tonight from Painter.

...the kinds of things we've been saying online all along.

Painter just called Trump "deranged" and said if he really had dictated this lie, he had done so knowing the entire family is under criminal investigation, and he should just resign. Painter finished by saying that at this point he is really scared.

And that there are republicans who do have a moral compass, who are decent people, who know right from wrong.

People like Richard Painter, Ana Navarro, David Frum and Senators Murkowski and Collins and others have made me a little less cynical. Sure they would go right back to being annoying republicans the moment Trump isn't president anymore, but they love America and put country before party. And they have gone on television and said it all out loud. They get vicious hate mail but don't back down. That counts for something.
