Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI got an invitation by phone for two free tickets
to attend a Donald J. Trump Rally in Huntington WV on August 3, 2017 at 7pm. Should I sign up and not go
to keep two of his supporters from getting in? I'm thinking if I do sign up they will count me as another supporter.
They are actually asking for a campaign donation for that pos.The only Trump Rally I would attend is the one where they execute him for treason or when he gets impeached.

(22,976 posts)It'd be interesting as an observer to witness an actual American fascist rally. You'd have to be able to separate yourself from all the insanity, though, to keep from getting enraged or sickened.
I couldn't do it, I just know that words and images from something so incredibly surreal would probably rattle my psyche for several days at least.

Well, well. That's a stretch. I don't think we execute for treason anymore. But he could go to jail after an impeachment.
Just tell the caller that you do not wish to support Trump in any way. Tell them that Trump is a terrible president and you wish he would be impeached for the nasty things he has done: touching women, lying about almost everything, making fun of the disabled, refusing to leave his businesses, having his family run our country, having associations with many many Russians and then lying about them, promising jobs without any changes then taking credit for the success of the continued Obama programs, his appointments of unqualified people who can not govern, blaming Hillary for using emails while he tweets classified information or tells the Russians face to face about classified intelligence sources, undermining every established government body, including the police;and if they call you again you will report them to the phone company for harassment and write a huge editorial article in your local paper.
If you can get half that out it would maybe help.

(11,415 posts)I thought you were serious and I was responding with a bit of caution for those reading who thought DU might support those leanings.
It's cool.
If you would take a moment and use the sarcasm noted icon I would not have thought you were serious and not spent the time researching and softening your post and you would not have had to correct me. Just a suggestion.
I will try to remember to inject sarcasm into your posts from now on, doc03.
