McConnell only was thinking about getting this passed today - he did not care one iota about the health of McCain. McCain just had brain surgery. He could have died on the plane ride into D.C. McConnell was willing to take a chance on that happening just to get this passed today. He pressured McCain to take that chance. McCain's ego got the better of him and he bought McConnell's line of flattery. You can just imagine what McConnell said to McCain to take that chance.
