I mean, if you like lukewarm appeals to better angels from a guy who just voted to continue the process of removing health insurance protections from millions of people, a guy who made one of the most craven and opportunistic choices for a running mate, and who is calling for a return to a senate that never existed for all Americans in the first place -- I mean, yeah, I guess.

on some television news show. Literally every week almost without fail. When I heard him say that, I walked away and am making some blueberry muffins.

To paraphrase the old Shakespeare refrain, the GOP allows them to be the "poor player that struts and frets his hour on "Face the Nation" (or This Week with...", "Meet the Press", "State of the Union" ) and then is heard no more (when it comes time to vote)....
