I imagine everybody has heard that old adage.

It is difficult for me to understand why someone would issue an 11 page statement that probably has been scrutinized by a bunch of lawyers and not be truthful in it.

Can these people be so thoroughly infected with hubris that they think they can get away with this stuff?

And why did Kushner go into such detail in his statement? I've read it this morning and it seems like he has set all kinds of traps for himself.

Either it's suicide by hubris or these people are pretty confident that Mueller will be gone and Congress will do nothing.

I wrote this guy an email!
I was late to the meeting!
I clearly remember how I couldn't remember that russian ambassador's name and wrote an email to ask about it!


Fine.
Produce those emails.
If the meeting was entirely irrelevant and forgettable to you, how do you remember that you were late???
Sure, you could ask somebody in an email... or... Google... Wikipedia... the web-page of the russian embassy in the US...
