I have to think that if Sessions discussed sanctions with the Russians/Kislyak - that Trump either knew before that conversation or soon after. Sessions and Trump were thick at the time. In fact - perhaps that's why he appointed Session's AG in the first place.
Now with Trump taking after Session's - wouldn't one think that if Session's is called to testify again on Capitol Hill - that he'd spill the beans on Trump?
I know that Trump would like to fire Session's so that he could ultimately fire Mueller - but I just question Trump's strategy here - going after a guy (Session's) that has inside info and could turn it back on Trump.
Am I missing something here?

(65,487 posts)strategize. He never looks ahead and he has no ability to see the big picture.
On top of his ignorance and his infantile impulsivity, he also is probably in the early stages of Alzheimer's. He can't choose the most effective course of action. He can only react and rage.

(17,019 posts)This is Twitler's game, his one and only game. Threaten and bluster until who ever he is going against backs down. This may work in the business world but not the best strategy when dealing with the government. They don't back down. There are civil service folks who live to take down a jerk like Twitler.
