Romney got "bar band" applause yesterday. Joe's getting "rock star" applause.

This is what happens when you DON'T talk down to your audience. They are LOVING this speech.

(24,041 posts)...have to fluff around telling the crowd that "if" they could know what was in his heart, they would vote for him. No if about it. Joe shows it and they know it.
Willard had no heart, and he has dead, soul-less eyes.

(47,586 posts)and Stephen Colbert weren't on vacation this week. I know one of them would do a video comparing Romney to Biden. The possibilities are endless!

(47,586 posts)Afraid I had JOE on the brain. Can't believe I did that!
The standard joke at The Daily Show is whenever they go on vacation, the good stuff happens.

Great, great speech. What a good decision to send Joe to speak to the NAACP.

(30,885 posts)My first two cars were a 1970 & 1972 Chevelle Malibu. EVERY time I see one of those cars on the road I get a little choked up. One of my clients holds a yearly "Hot August Nights" event that attracts classic cars from all over the place. One of them is a "fully loaded" 1972. I took photos of it for the Website and just stood there and admired it for a LONG time.

(65,487 posts)But in D.C., a "gaffe" (or a "scandal" refers to a politician's letting the truth slip out. Biden is considered "gaffe-prone" because he tells the unvarnished truth.

(30,885 posts)I'm one of those people who tends to cut him a lot of slack in respect of "the big picture."
But this morning, he was just ON, hitting home run after home run without as single slip-up. But most importantly, it provided a STARK contrast to the Romney speech. My guess is that no matter what "official statements" they may choose to release today, "Team Romney" is WETTING itself. The combination of VP Biden's speech and the revelation that Mitt lied about his tenure at Bain means it's not a good day to be Mitt Romney at ALL.

(4,404 posts)He has this rep now where it's "uh oh!" Biden goofed again!
But all of his goofs were him telling the truth and mocked for it.
I still love Biden!
