I find it strange that DJT targeted Sessions. Sessions is the only one who is seriously

moving forward Trump's white supremacist policies. Everyone else is not really delivering on his promises.

You'd think he would really champion Sessions.

He's suffering from serious mental health issues. I'm not surprised whenever he attacks and defeats his own interests. In fact, just like Adolf Hitler, Trump is his own worst enemy.

fat ass, and his family. That was supposed to be the 1st priority of DTs AG.

Yes, Sessions is a competent racist, misogynist, and he will work hard to take us back to the failed policies of the 80s regarding drugs and justice...all things which the RW cherish...but those are all 2nd to being the Trump family's Blocker and Defender in Chief.

6. Perhaps his attacks on Sessions are more about Trump's thinking

if an AG serves at the leisure of a president, then Sessions, as AG, should be there to defend him against any charges and not recuse himself if he is also involved in an investigation - a united front instead of giving the impression (accurate, in this case) that the AG is also compromised.

If the AG is going to recuse himself instead of promoting the party line (nothing to see here) then a president needs someone who will. As he (Trump) looks guilty if his AG needs to recuse himself from an investigation into a president.

Trump's attacks is part of the push of his other talking point from the interview - that the FBI should be under the executive (and thereby controlled by the president) and not under the DOJ and acting independently.

His attack on Sessions is more strategic, to push his real aim. To undermine the justice department as a whole and push that Wray serves HIM and not the Constitution and even though he (Wray) formally reports to the Deputy AG, Trump thinks it should be the case that the FBI director reports to, and is answerable to, only the president. If the DOJ and the FBI become less independent and more beholding to the executive, then Trump can control any investigation.

Trump wants to control the FBI and Justice Department. Trump wants to be J. Edgar Hoover with all the powers of the executive.

Trump could want Sessions gone to put in place someone who will go along with aims.

Or he could be attacking Sessions as way to get Sessions to push those aims now.

Maybe Trump wants the Deputy AG out.

Trump's aim is to attack the entire justice system, undermine the investigation, justify firing Mueller, gaining control over this investigation and any other investigations.

Sessions is willing to take insults from Trump to go along with Trump if that's what Trump wants. Because that is what it means to be in good standing with Trump - you kiss his ass and allow him to insult you.

Even Sessions isn't safe from Trump's wrath. But note how Sessions weathered the tantrump: He said he wouldn't resign, vowed again to carry out Trump's agenda, and toadied up waiting for things to blow over. Sessions is counting on Trump's short attention span, and his confidence will probably not be misplaced.

Anyone else with a shred of dignity or integrity should probably sit down and think about how much abuse they're willing to take from Trump, because it's surely coming.

He is a Trump supremacist. Sessions did not do what Trump needed to save Trump, therefore Sessions is bad. White supremacists are good only because they like Trump.

His total and complete agenda is self-aggrandizement, and he will punish anyone who is not loyal to that agenda. Hence Sessions gets punished.
