Why did the Russian lawyer need a translator?

She practiced law here in a complex money laundering case. She was given a parole letter to represent the company in court. Wouldn't you have to know English in order to do that.

She was representing a Russian client, and it's said she used a translator in court dealings.

People who speak a sexism language have varied degrees of fluency, and when you are doing legal or business matters it's pretty common to have an interpreter even if it's just for clarification of unfamiliar words or phrases.
