"The meeting with the Russian lawyer was a big nothing burger".....But, was it?

It has been reported that the Russian lawyer left a plastic folder behind when she left the meeting. This was according to Renat Akmestshin, a former spy now a "lobbyist". He accompanied the Russian lawyer to the meeting.

Veselnitskaya brought with her a plastic folder with printed-out documents that detailed what she believed was the flow of illicit funds to the Democratic National Committee. Veselnitskaya presented the contents of the documents to the Trump associates and suggested that making the information public could help the Trump campaign, he said.

Akhmetshin said he does not know if Veselnitskaya’s documents were provided by the Russian government. He said he thinks she left the materials with the Trump associates. It was unclear if she handed the documents to anyone in the room or simply left them behind, he said.

Was this really a meeting about nothing? What was really in those documents and who ended up with them? Don Jr had already requested in his email that he wanted the news to break in late summer. What news broke in late summer, right after the DNC Convention? It was the Wikileaks emails. Inquisitive minds might inquire if those email were what was in the plastic folder? All they had to do was find a "third Party" to release them. Somebody gave them to Julian Assange and they were released. Roger Stone, longtime friend of Donald Trump, bragged that John Podesta would be a victim of a Russian hack and have his emails published. Was that just a lucky hunch by Stone or did he really know something?

Of course the meeting was not about nothing. The press's credulousness about that is ridiculous. Squinch Jul 2017 #1

Forgetting their countless other lies, they denied that the meeting existed, then denied that it involved a discussion of dirt on Hillary, then didn't fully disclose who attended.

The meeting was 1 month before the Wikileaks release of hacked emails began. Uday specified that he'd "love" for the info. to be released later in the summer, which it was. The logical assumption isn't that nothing came from the meeting when what was promised and discussed transpired in the time frame that Don, Jr. said he wanted, and that every other statement he made about it has been a lie.
