(11,109 posts)You are exactly correct, they have ignored their oath of office (as well as any loyalty to the country or basic decency).
However, the oath of office for civilian office holders is to "support and defend the constitution." Only the military oaths include "against all enemies foreign and domestic."

So help me God. This section does not affect other oaths required by law.

Or maybe, to them, "country" and "party" are synonymous. They certainly act as tho party is paramount.
