(25,261 posts)had someone designated to take notes or I took notes myself. These notes would include the date, time, attendees and topics discussed - and any pertinent notes or actions as a result of the meeting.
I keep hearing the excuse that these Trump people were inexperienced in political ways so give them a break. Father forgive them for they don't know what they're doing. But these same people tout their business experience. I would think even in their business world that they would record their meetings much like I described above.
Now after Jr. changed his story a number of times and gave an interview saying he's told all - we're hearing that more people were involved in this meeting.
Trump Jr. is lying. Sr. is lying. This Russian lawyer - the reason for the meeting in the first place - who was interviewed the other day was lying. We're getting these lies up and down the chain of the Trump team.
We're told that the meeting was a quick one. Manafort and Kushner walked out of the meeting and nothing of any consequence was discussed or came out of the meeting. I don't believe that for one second.

So it becomes a parsing issue.
If you bring a person that is going to set up servers between two locations, i.e., Trump Tower and a Russian bank, do you have a translator.

As someone mentioned on twitter, is it possible that translator was translating for someone who was on speakerphone?
