Oh wait.
It DOES imply guilt.

(18,837 posts)I seldom, if ever, use the "sarcasm smiley."
But rest assured, the post was intended as sarcasm in light of the "defense" of Trump Jr's actions from daddy's minions.
MSNBC this morning mentioned that Hannity gave him TWO opportunities to state if ANYONE ELSE was involved.
"Nope."
And lo and behold, SOMEONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED.
The point of my post seems to have been missed, at least in the first response.
Hopefully it's crystal clear now.

(34,136 posts)Over the last few days I have heard more than one Republican say that it is not the actual things that the Trump cabal (my word, not theirs) has done that bothers them, it is the constant lying about what they have done. The Republicans who have been selected to come out in front of the cameras to defend this cadre of criminals are getting worn out. They appear one day and make excuses, then another layer of lies is exposed and the Republican spokespeople have to shift their narrative to try to explain the new lies. It's exhausting for the Republicans as well as for the rest of us and they and getting fed up with it.
That will be the breaking point - when no main stream Republican remains that will make those excuses, the Trump band of crooks will have to watch out. I expect that is when a group of traditional Republicans will go to the White House and tell Trump that he can resign or impeachment will go forward. That's what happened with Nixon - the Republicans got fed up with attempting to justify the lies to the American public.
I can only hope there are enough Republicans in Congress today with the integrity to do the same thing.
