Trump goes AWOL, hasn’t shown up to work all week
By Eric Boehlert |JULY 12, 2017
Day after day, Donald Trump's schedule remains empty. He hasn't made an official, stateside public appearance in more than a week.

Donald Trump’s public schedule has gone blank once again, as the amorphous Republican retreats behind the walls of the White House.

Instead of having a full schedule in the wake of a multiple-day trip last week to the G20 summit in Europe, Trump has disappeared. He hasn’t had an official public, stateside appearance in more than a week.

Trump has not given a full-fledged press conference since February, and has not sat down for a one-on-one news interview with a legitimate news source since May 11.

in honor of the centennial of the US entry into WWI. Something tells me that the French were fully expecting to welcome the second President Clinton.

The bright side of the visit? The joint press event that's on the schedule. Trump can't stonewall a free press on French soil without the entire world hearing and seeing it. There will be cameras.

TRUMP’S SCHEDULE:

7:10 p.m.: President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will depart the White House en route to Paris, France. There are no other public events listed on the president’s schedule.

OTHER HAPPENINGS: Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Louisville, Kentucky for a health care listening session.

TRUMP’S TWITTER THIS MORNING: “My son Donald did a good job last night. He was open, transparent and innocent. This is the greatest Witch Hunt in political history. Sad! … Remember, when you hear the words "sources say" from the Fake Media, often times those sources are made up and do not exist. … ISIS is on the run & will soon be wiped out of Syria & Iraq, illegal border crossings are way down (75%) & MS 13 gangs are being removed. … .@WashTimes states ‘Democrats have willfully used Moscow disinformation to influence the presidential election against Donald Trump.’”

I'm thinking he's not really able to do those things at this time. He's not being seen in public because it would be too revealing of his increasing inability to function in the role of President.

When he did not hold the normal press conference at the end of the G20 Summit, I believe that was the reason. He is not currently able to make such appearances and make any sense. He didn't really participate in any of the exchanges you usually see between world leaders at the G20, and was seen sitting by himself while others around him were in groups, conversing.

It is my opinion that Donald Trump is not currently appearing in public or taking interviews because he cannot do so without his current mental capacity deficits becoming obvious. He appears to me to be fading fast. I've seen similar deterioration with some older relatives, and it can get to the point where they can no longer hide their deficits any longer. Perhaps Donald Trump has reached that point.

at the bottom of the AF1 stairs. Someone had to catch up to him and turn him around. That's not a normal thing at all. The President gets off the plane and gets into the limo. The same routine every time. The President does not wander off in another direction. Trump did that. It's telling, I think.

Not to go too far defending the dumbass, but when AF1 lands at Andrews, usually the president walks to Marine One which is usually idling on a few yards away.

The same goes for departing Andrews, as shown in this vid;

Why the limo was at the bottom of the stairs is still a mystery to me, but perhaps he was looking to walk to the helicopter and they were going to take him to the White House in the limo instead.

Definitely the Guy has a Mental Heath as well as a Stamina issue going. Dementia seems in order. Especially now we are hearing of his outburst's at Staffers in the White House.

His use of a Scalp-Hair Med at his age is a major no no. Understand it has a mood altering effect as the day wears on.

bewildered expression on his face much of the time. There is a slump to his shoulders making him look like he's slightly stooped over and there is no spring in his step at all.

Since I am the same age as Trump, I understand that his stamina is not the same as a younger person, but he appears to be aging very quickly.

However, I know people the same age who are deeply affected by memory deficits. Age isn't really the issue. Illness can strike anyone at any time. But, if the President is having problems, then we need to know about them. If he's not, then he should step out and take some press questions and answer them coherently.

Or do Tweets count? I personally don't think they do, but I am an old fart who can actually remember where I was when it was President Johnson in the big chair - after all, Eisenhower was still President when I was born.

If my memory serves, I've never heard where in this modern era, of there being more than a few days where there's been nothing official from the President, even if it's just a vacation photo or a little "Happy Administrative Assistant's Day" sort of official memo with a bunch of happy people behind the President.
