But I also used to be fucking poor and I don't ever forget my roots. Probably because it was so painful, and I am intimately aware of how important luck was in changing my life for the better.

I pay my taxes, make donations, contribute to liberal Democrats, and I'm not as well-off as the mansioned sociopaths that live near me, but I'm okay with that. And I've no plan to leave the USA, LEAST of all to avoid paying taxes.

Everyone, top to bottom is taught that "the middle class" defines America. So everyone tends to identify themselves as middle class; from the dude living in a camper on his friend's property, to the people who make an ugly-ass hosueboat wirth three million, they're all "middle class" if you ask them.

In most cases if there is a group of people with more money than you, you tend to think you are middle class. If you have great wealth, you don't speak of it publicly.
