G20: Does Donald Trump's awkward performance indicate America's decline as world power?

--snip--
The G20 became the G19 as it ended. On the Paris climate accords the United States was left isolated and friendless.

It is, apparently, where this US President wants to be as he seeks to turn his nation inward.

Donald Trump has a particular, and limited, skill-set. He has correctly identified an illness at the heart of the Western democracy. But he has no cure for it and seems to just want to exploit it.

He is a character drawn from America's wild west, a travelling medicine showman selling moonshine remedies that will kill the patient.

And this week he underlined he has neither the desire nor the capacity to lead the world.

Chris Ullhman is a highly regarded political journalist from the Australian broadcasting Company. He does not mince words. And sadly, it rings all too true. It is good to see it and hear it In the media... even if it is from a different country. I don't even care what the dumbshit trump cult members think. THIS is our f*cking reality. And we need to put blame where blame is due: the complacency and complicity of the GOP in all the debacle that is this presidency.

We need to be more diligent and forceful in getting this message out: that republicans = trump. We need to start now and revv it up even more next year. And every moc that supports the disgusting trumpcare bill needs to be held accountable in next year's elections. Tie every single one of those bastards to trump. I want to see ads repeatedly saying how the repukes are out to kill us with trumpcare. Murder by trumpcare. Murder by republicans. I want to see ads on how Martha Mcsally voted to kill 22 million Americans. I want to see them named individually.
And repeatedly. Because that vote was like no other.

They took it to the next level and so should we. I am done playing nice. People are dumber than shit And maybe we should take a page out of the republicans playbook.

Sarah Silverman is spot on. She tweeted that it speaks volumes that no other world leader felt the need or had anything to discuss with the so called president of the united states. PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. No one had anything to discuss with him. It speaks volumes alright....

Seeing Agent Orange sitting alone at G20 but buddying up with his mafia don, Vladdy, just struck a nerve.

Maybe it's time for the world to act together as more equal partners. It used to be the US and the Soviet Union. Now it's all sorts of countries with all sorts of agendas. Is that all bad?

The current reality is vastly different....

This restructured equality of 19/20 @ the G20
Is due to complete withdrawal of U.S. Leadership.
*45 is following Vlad's orders....
which is have the U.S. go sit in the corner with their thumb up their own ass
So that all international alliances, which usually look to U.S. for direction & leadership, will be immediately weakened and forced to realign/restructure.

Then, much like the battered spouse who is not allowed to associate with family or neighbors, the U.S. will be completely dependent on daddy Vlad.

IMO, FWIW

It shows a decline in U.S. stature in the world. The world will move on without us. We will be left behind. It is clear they don't even value the president of the United States anymore to even discuss world issues.

And it is a fallacy to think that it was JUST the United States acting on issues unilaterally in the past. Events were decided upon by multiple countries.

Europeans know we screwed up electing that guy and will give us a mulligan unless he gets reelected, then real damage happens because they will see us as fools.

The next president might be able to repair some of the damage, but they will never look at us the same way again.
